The present volume contains a preface, the manuscript in facsimile, a Russian abstract of the manuscripts, and indexes. The manuscript of an anonymous history of the Caliphs was purchased for the Asiatic Museum by V.A. Ivanov, a Russian Iranologist, in Bukhara in 1915; formerly the manuscript belonged to the Waqud (public) library.
The Anonymous history of the Caliphs encompasses the period from the mid-30s of the 7th century to the beginning of 750.
